Help young students and beginner readers learn how to identify and understand different consonant blends. Have students partner up with each other, with one student picking out a cut-out ribbon card and reading the word labeled on it, while the other student identifies the consonant sound. If they are correct, place the ribbon in the trophy case and have the partners switch roles.
